Night's Cape 9 x 12" watercolour (framed 15 x 18")
Night's Cape 9 x 12" watercolour (framed 15 x 18")
This painting is sold, but don’t worry; I’ve made it available as an Art Print in my RedBubble Shop.
Here is Night, clasping her hand to her throat, locks of hair intertwined, as if to hold a cape in place. Her body is surrounded by the fabric of deep space; it both covers her and reveals everything in existence. Floating in the vastness of the universe, a woman drawing the cloak of night around her is an act of creation, the birth of a shimmering cosmos, tiny crescent moons reflected in her eyes. It is her invitation to our untapped potential and the vast expanse of mystery. The deep indigo granularity of night and the turquoise of galactic clouds form the backdrop to the luminous face of the woman. The night sky filled with stars is a canopy all share, no matter where they may be on this globe. In the story of Night and her Cape, she is a woman in her element. This artwork is for someone who loves and appreciates thought-provoking imagery with an inspirational mood. Ideal artwork for any living or working space. Reference model Willow Little.
