Spring 9 x 12" watercolour (framed 15 x 18")
This painting is sold, but don’t worry; I’ve made it available as an Art Print in my RedBubble Shop.
Here is Spring as a woman: the hopeful promise of new beginnings. It is in her nature to be optimistic, for even while sleeping through the long cold winter, Spring dreamt of what might be. Her life force nourished the incubation of our future, the cycle of rebirth and growth, all beneath a blanket of snow. The warm and cool colours help to tell the story of Spring; she has glowing pink and vermillion skin, and auburn hair, she radiates warmth, encased as she is by the pale blue and violet shimmers of melting snow. As the deep freeze recedes, the snow melts away and reveals her: Spring is wide awake and looking directly at you. This is a pure watercolour painting: all whites are the whites of the paper, no white paint was used. This artwork is for someone who loves and appreciates thought-provoking imagery with an inspirational mood. Ideal artwork for any living or working space. Reference model Finn Little.
