April Tree Shadows 5 x 7" watercolour

CA$250.00

This is an original pleinair painting I did of the view of a tree across the South pond at Parc La Fontaine in Montreal. In mid-April, the weather can become very warm, almost summery. This year the temperatures soared right after the ice storm of the previous week; it’s always odd to have such weather when there is no greenery, no grass, no leaves on the trees but it’s a great opportunity to paint tree shadows on something other than snow! This was my second day out doing pleinair this year; since losing my dog Chuck last November and then the cold winter, I just took a break. On this early spring day I went out, found a park bench with a view of this wonderful tree across the pond, and painted. This painting is for someone who loves trees, and appreciates the wonderful strangeness of Montreal weather. This small size of this artwork will brighten up a small area in your living or working space.

Watercolour, 5 x 7”, painted with professional light-fast pigments on 100% cotton Fabriano Artistico cold pressed paper. The painting is signed by me, JC Little, on the front, and has the title and the date on the back. I will include a certificate of authenticity with this painting. It will be packaged with an archival sleeve, a stiff cardboard backing and a bubble wrap envelope to protect it. To avoid waste, where ever possible I will re-use mailers and other packaging materials. It’s recommended to frame it behind glass, with an acid-free matte, to preserve the painting from deterioration. Display away from direct sunlight.
