This painting received an Honourable Mention in the Women’s Art Society of Montreal (WASM) Juried Exhibition at Viva Vida Gallery, May 2024.

This is an original painting I did of the sunset over the south pond at Parc LaFontaine. It was the middle of August, and the sun had just dipped below the horizon. The skies took almost all the colour from the trees, leaving some only for the reflection in the pond. A last burst before draining over the edge and leaving us with the night, and yearning for a new day. This painting is for someone who ponders the symbolism behind sunsets, nature and a calm and peaceful mood. Ideal artwork for any living or working space.

Watercolour, 9 x 12" with professional light-fast pigments on 100% cotton paper. The painting is signed by me, JC Little, on the front and has the title and date on the back. I will include a certificate of authenticity with this painting. It will be packaged with an archival sleeve, a stiff cardboard backing and a bubble wrap envelope to protect it. To avoid waste, where ever possible I will re-use mailers and other packaging materials. It’s recommended to frame it behind glass, with an acid-free matte, to preserve the painting from deterioration. Display away from direct sunlight.
