Common Grackle 8 x 10" ink

CA$125.00

This is an original studio ink drawing I did of an unsuspecting common grackle on toned gray paper. The grackle is mostly backlit, giving the impression of a scrappy crow or raven at first glanc; the yellow eyes give the impersonator away. I used both black micron pens and India ink Pitt brush pens on this piece, and the reference photo I used with permission from Kathy Herndon, a wonderful photographer of birds and other wildlife in the south eastern United States. This drawing is for someone who loves birds, and black birds in particular, and a source of inspiration and contemplation. Ideal artwork for any living or working space.

Charcoal, 8 x10", drawn with artist grade materials on Strathmore toned gray acid-free mixed media paper. The drawing is signed by me, JC Little, on the front and has the title and date on the back. I will include a certificate of authenticity with this drawing. It will be packaged with an archival sleeve, with stiff cardboard backing on both sides, and bubble wrap mailer. To avoid waste, where ever possible I will re-use mailers and other packaging materials. It’s recommended to frame it behind glass, with an acid-free matte, to preserve the drawing from deterioration. Display away from direct sunlight.
